Injection Mold Operator Training
DESIGNED FOR
– Machine Operators, Technicians, Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and others involved with PET
preform manufacturing.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This two-day injection mold operator training course includes a summary of the technology of injection molding PET preforms. Held by request, this course is typically held at our customer’s location with their equipment, but can also be held at PTI-US or PTI-Europe by request. The curriculum includes theoretical instruction presented in the classroom as well as practical activities occurring at an injection molding machine. The classroom portion of the training is 6 – 8 hours followed by an equal or greater amount of time on the molding floor.
The goal of the training is to provide students with an understanding of material properties, material handling, tooling, and injection molding practices necessary for PET preform molding. The emphasis of the hands-on portion of the training is to allow students to recognize and understand the attributes of a stable and robust injection molding process. This is accomplished by allowing students to build process and experienced-based knowledge from cause and effect relationships between the major machine settings and preform quality.
This class is offered on-demand only. For further information or for any questions regarding registration, email our training department at training@pti-usa.com.
